This asshat is threatening to sue Epona TV for posting this video. Although he was not at all ashamed to ride like this in front of an international audience.

I did a little more digging into the FEI site and found that this video is getting a lot of air time there. The FEI is looking into it and there is a committee reviewing and hopefully rewriting the rules.

A 185lb(my guess)with extreme leverege standing in his stirrups yanking as hard as he can on his obvious disobedient horse. I don't see the problem with this. I hope you can hear the extreme sarcasm in that statement because I would like nothing more than to stick a peice of metal in that guys mouth, stand on his back and yank as hard as I could.
ReplyDeleteAwful treatment of that poor horse. It is also awful that judges did not say anything, awful that he was within the current guidelines in handling his horse and awful that his peers have never had a conversation with him on his rough training methods because being an idiot trainer in any discipline affects the credibility of other trainers. Bad conduct all around. Hopefully, with the power of the internet, this type of bullying will be challenged and no longer be acceptable.
ReplyDeleteSaw this on Fugly, and already emailed my letter to the FEI. What a miserable excuse for a "trainer," and how disgraceful that he was there representing the USA! I also just love how the idiot stewards or whatever they were just sat on their butts by that ring and DID NOTHING. The whole thing sucks. I'll tell you where I'd like to stick one of his lousy twisted wire tongue-cutters, alright...
