winter is back

Well, cold, wet and windy anyway.  Possible snow tonight.
Just as well, I suppose, with the technical difficulties that we are having right now.  I have to keep looking at the bare trees to remind myself that it is not really spring yet.  No need to feel like we are wasting time.  I am going to try to get some pics today, depending on what the weather is like when I get to the barn.

  1. It is finally warmer up here. 59 degrees right now and melting! Almost brown everywhere, except for the snowbanks. I hope you get some pictures of Nina with her fresh coat. :)

  2. I am so tired of this bipolar Colorado weather! I have been thinking about writing a blog about bringing my Free-Lease mare back into work, and also about my health condition and how horses are amazing physical therapists. Do you have any words of wisdom for starting a blog?

P.S. The link to UnbridledRider is awesome!

  3. Glad you like Unbridled Rider.
I have a bunch of blogs and I find that I pretty much started them all the same.
I started out writing to myself what I want to record in the blog. This one was supposed to be a diary of Nina's training.
Then I put down as much past history as I possible can - if this is a record of training I need to know how I got started doing it so I have it for reference.
Then I link to a bunch of other blogs that are fun to read - they give me topics when I can't think of anything to write.
AND I love to play with the layouts and colors etc etc so if I get bored I just change up the appearance.
I write mostly to myself, like a diary or a journal. Sometimes I am writing for others, but I am more motivated (and honest) if I use it as a tool and not write for entertainment.
The people who do write for entertainment are extraordinary, but I am not one of them.
    Does any of that help?
Just start writing and reading - it gets to be a habit.
