if you think your hair is more important than your head......

This was Courtney King Dye before the accident, a simple fall that she should have walked away from....

And this is her message last week to the Riders4Helmets conference.

Wear your helmet, dammit!

  1. Wow. That video really drove the message home. I've always been a helmet advocate anyway, but seeing her post-accident really makes it real.

  2. Wow! She really is an amazing woman. I'm glad she is being an advocate for helmets. What greater impact from someone like her. :)

  3. The video of her address is very moving -- I saw it yesterday. But what I really like about your post is how you first put the video of her before the accident. I've put a link to this post on my blog - I hope you get a lot of traffic. Helmets are so important.

  5. Thanks Annette. I really wanted people to see what she has lost. It is so easy for it to happen to anyone.

  7. So sad. What a difference a snap decision can make.

  8. With your permission, I may have to copy this idea and post both videos on my blog as well. This message is just too important not to spread the word as much as possible.

  9. Rider Writer - go for it. I think it is easy for all of us to just refuse to think about life AFTER a brain injury. These two videos together really made me think about it.
